Contemporary crooner & former Pulp guitarist has announced he will play to an all-seated Olympia on October 22nd.
A Glasswerk fave, Hawley first found success in Britpop band The Longpigs before joining Pulp with his friend Jarvis Cocker. His fourth and quite frankly gorgeous album 'Coles Corner' led to a Mercury Award nomination in 2006. Although losing out to The Arctic Monkeys that year, it's reported Alex Turner exclaimed 'Someone call 999, Richard Hawley's been robbed!' after learning his own band had won the coveted award.
'Truelove's Gutter' – the next Richard Hawley album, is to be released on Mute records on 21st September 2009. Tickets for the Olympia show are priced €29 and go on sale on Friday July 24th.
