Stage Diving Peter Andre Style

Is it summer? Is it not? I don’t know, the weather changes so much I just can’t tell anymore. In fact the only reason I have any inkling it is summer is that there are sooooo many festivals going on. This past week has seen T4 on the Beach, Benicassim and Latitude amongst others.

Benicassim saw many fans disappointed after kings of Leon pulled out due to bad weather conditions. This followed their T in the Park mishap, which saw Caleb smashing his guitar, diva style. Noel Gallagher had a moan about Benicassim saying it was a ‘f**kin waste of time’ and the only thing that made it worthwhile were the fans, aww. Yet again Oasis’ set was marred by problems with the PA system; this seems to becoming a bit of a party trick for the lads. And poor old Lily Allen had to cancel due to illness.

One of the highlight’s of Latitude seemed to be the highly anticipated set from Thom Yorke. He played songs from solo album ‘The Eraser’ as well as throwing in a few Radiohead tunes, including ‘True Love Waits’, ‘Follow Me Around’ and ‘Everything In Its Right Place’.

The weekend also played host to T4 on the Beach. Weston-super-Mare was swamped with artists such as Calvin Harris, N-Dubz, Dizzee Rascal and Florence & the Machine. Peter Andre performed his new single ‘Behind Closed Doors’. Although, I’m guessing it wasn’t the success he had hoped it would be. As midway through the song he fell off-stage and never fully recovered, causing his singing to be out of sync with the music. Bet Jordan was pleased though.

In other news, Kate Moss wants to join boyfriend Jamie Hince’s band, The Kills, oh dear. Hince is currently looking for Alison Mossharts replacement as she’s left to concentrate on new band The Dead Weather. Don’t do it Jamie. Finally, it’s been suggested by certain tabloids that Michael Jackson could’ve been murdered, these claims are currently being investigated. It seems conspiracy theories surrounding Jackson’s death are going to continue for some time.
