Some of the top musical talent Ireland has to offer are coming together in aid of the poorest country in the western world – Haiti. Shane MacGowan and Jerry Fish are just two of the names that will be taking to the stage at the Button Factory this Wednesday 29th of July in a benefit gig for Haven, a new international NGO building houses in Haiti.
The gig, “Hope for Haiti – Voodoo Ball” will also feature The Mighty Stef, Spellbound, Steve Fanning (from The Last Tycoons) and Candice Gordon. All proceeds from the night will be going to Haven, a new charity which is building homes and hope in Haiti.
One of the musicians on the bill, Candice Gordon, is travelling to Haiti at Halloween with Haven to take part in “Build it Week”. She is one of 250 Irish volunteers the charity is recruiting to take part in this week long house build.
Tickets cost €20 and are available on tickets.ie and at the door of The Button Factory. Doors open 8pm.
