Mid way through a summer of festival appearance which sees the band officially playing more than any other act in 2009, and fresh from a 2 page NME Radar feature, we’re excited to announce full details of Baddies much anticipated debut album and Europe wide tour in support of its release.
Baddies debut album ‘Do The Job’ will be unleashed on September 21st on the bands own label Medical, with new single ‘Open One Eye’ out in the UK on September 14th. Receiving a full and equally anticipated release throughout Europe, the band will support the album with a 6 week tour. Starting with 9 dates around the UK, they will then head to Europe for shows in France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
Including previous single ‘Holler For My Holiday’ and the track which headed up their debut 7” Vinyl ‘Battleships’, the album was recorded at legendary Rockfield Studios, Wales where the likes of Oasis (What’s The Story, Morning Glory’), Motorhead, Queen, Black Sabbath and Kasabian have all previous recorded.
Since bursting onto the scene at the tail end of 2008, Baddies have gone from strength to strength; topping the MTV2/ MySpace Chart with both releases this far, receiving innumerous plays from the likes of Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Rob Da Bank and Iain Camfield, and widespread press support from NME, Clash, Q, BBC Online, Art Rocker and many more.
