Luc Skyz - Catch My Drift
Album Review

Luc Skyz – Catch My Drift

Hip-hop up-and-comer Luc Skyz has been making modest waves lately, having previously released four singles and garnering a growing fanbase. This latest one comes ahead of his debut album due for release later in the year, and if it’s anything to go by, he should turn some heads.

Comparisons with Dizzy Rascal’s early stuff are inevitable and warranted; it’s got the kind of stark, punchy production that helped make Boy in Da Corner such a revelation. Skyz seems a lyricist of considerable talent, keeping the good lines coming with a flawlessly aggressive delivery over a simple beat and relentless bassline. It sounds a hit, time will tell what else the rapper has up his sleeve but this bodes well for the LP.
