An oddly-named band with an oddly-named song, The Lovvers unleash “OCD Go Go Girls”, a full-on big-rocking mess of fuzz and attitude. The vocals are distorted beyond lyrical comprehension but the tune’s still there and sounds pretty good over a main riff that’s Quo-esque but in a good way. The chorus is lairy, fist-pumping punk that sounds like a sticky Camden toilet in the small hours. This is a quick and invigorating attack of retro garage rock done with a lo-fi sensibility, accessible and highly infectious but sounding unlike anything else that’s around at the moment. I lovve it.
