Some old school jazzy and acoustic rock ‘n’ roll lead the way by Nell Bryden’s voice. It can be a bit gospel at times, sometimes blues, very much country, but altogether so very much 50 years ago in the land of America. It’s a nice return to something a lot cleaner and honest, but to be honest – as much as Nell Bryden has a beautiful and strength voice, it doesn’t feel quite right when she is using it at full force. She may be in tune, but she simply just doesn’t sound all that great.
That may be a harsh comment on someone who has obviously made an effort here with a genre that she seems to be very much in love with. But you can all too easily tell the difference between the real thing and a great singer who is just a fan.
Having said that, Bryden has been touring away making new fans so with such a strong voice at her disposal it is hardly going to take much effort to make impressions on people.
