Paul McCartney Denies Claims That He Will Retire Next Year

Sir Paul McCartney has denied claims that he will be retiring after his next world tour, which was claimed in reports made by tabloids last week.

It was alleged that the final tour would include unusual venues such as Berlin’s Checkpoint Charlie and Tiananmen Square in China.

The former Beatle dismissed the claims in an interview with the Boston Herald. He said, “All I can say is that I’m not retiring. It’s like ‘Paul is Dead’. No I’m not is all I could say. I did talk about retirement in one sentence in one story and only to say ‘No Way Jose’. But someone must have only read part of that one sentence.”

He went on to say that he would like to continue playing for as long as possible. He said, “As long as people want to come and hear me, I’ll probably be doing this. It’s just so easy to start rumours.”
