Morello and rap vocalist Boots Riley have combined their respective efforts for this fairly basic effort. New heights are not stormed. New ground is not covered.

What we end up with is perhaps some familiar sounding work from Morello that merely sounds like he is just plucking away in his own style instead of actually writing something fresh and new. But then quite frankly the vocal work is not helping much either. Morello’s work tends to call out for this type of a singing style, but it isn’t a voice that raises or aides his work here.

Fans should already be wise to the fact that this is not a Rage substitute. But they should also be warned that this is not a Morello reboot either, more of a replay.
