Simple Minds back on UK Stages for Graffiti Soul Tour

Simple Minds are back on UK stages this year after last years rousing “New Gold Dream” celebration. They celebrated 30 years of playing live by playing the entirety of the New Gold Dream album as well as some of their biggest hits including “Belfast Child,” “Alive and Kicking,” “She’s a River” and “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”.

Moving into their now 31st year of playing live, the band launched their new album Graffiti Soul which Glasswerk gave the thumbs up to back in May this year. A 9 track strong effort from the band which as ever touched upon themes personal to Kerr in a world that he is trying to aide.
Now they are back with special guests OMD to play the “Graffiti Soul Tour” which will see them play from the new album as well as rich their rich back catalogue.

The tour starts in Newcastle on the 30th November and continues through 8 special shows climaxing in Aberdeen on the 12th December.

Where Deacon Blue played some heavy support last year, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will support them this time round. One for the calendar for sure as Simple Minds is easily one of the bands that can hold a huge crowd.
