Julian Perretta – Julian Perretta

Taken from the forthcoming album “Out of my Head,” Julian Perretta’s single is a trip down nostalgic lanes that cross funk and pop barriers of the 70’s. Perhaps in a similar vein to what the Scissor Sisters did with “Laura” before going all rainbow-Abba/Bee Gee-pop on us.

Perretta cuts a fine balance here. It is a surprisingly upbeat track with decent piano and bass helping to drive the song forward which of course is led by some confident vocals that have soul as well as flare.

Perhaps one to watch out for in the near future. The upcoming album might very well say it all for us when it arrives later this year. The single is out August 31st (August 30th on digital).
