The Hot Melts – Red Lips

With a swagger and a scowl, “Red Lips” crashes along through 3 minutes or so of clichéd rock ‘n’ roll with a real sense of fun! A raucous, boisterous and clinical set of guitars drive the song into hooks set to be echoed by audiences consisting of mainly beard owning, alcohol drinking renegades with scruffy outlooks and self-indulgent strolls. Despite lacking in any realism or grittiness, the track all about a lady dressed in all red is still a lot more exciting than Chris De Burghs effort surrounding the same topic.
