Saturday 19th September @ Whelan's (upstairs). Admission €5 on the door.

After our lavish launch back at the start of the summer Glasswerk are back doing what we do best: supporting grass-roots music and presenting you the best in unsigned Irish talent.

Disconnect 4:

“If you’re looking for an act that understands the co-relation between classic pop and cutting-edge indie, you’ve come to the right place.” -Jim Caroll, Irish Times

Hotly tipped Galway-based fourpiece Disconnect 4 released their first EP 'Modern Love'(see video above) after just 2 years together building a solid reputation as one of the brightest upcoming bands in Ireland, we are delighted to announce their debut show for Glasswerk – after gigging heavily throughout 2008/09 Disconnect 4 know how to put on a good live show, which is why they have garnered attention from some of the biggest names in the industry such as Alison Curtis of Today FM “they're fantastic, really love them!” and Steve Lamacq of BBC Radio1.

Described by Hotpress as 'A Foalesque Indie band who combine strong vocals and catchy riffs', their synth-based Indie-pop tunes are regularly played on major UK & Ireland radio stations, and online music network CMU even listed them as Band of the Month in November 2008.

Audio:

Fusing Thom Yorke-like vocals with thumping Queens of the Stone Age like riffs, Dublin born band Audio’s music is hurled forth with force by Argentinian drummer Sebastian Jezzi, Irish bassist Enda O’ Gorman and English guitarist and vocalist Rich Marshall.

Audio’s multi-ethnic origins give birth to songs that surge forward at a furious pace while remarkably retaining real depth and emotion. The result? A sound that is guaranteed to move both your feet and mind.

Romanovs Goodbye:

Having only formed last year the five members: Rob – Lead Vocals, Derek – Guitar/Lead Vocals/Synth, Dave – Lead Guitar, Micka – Bass and Simon Drums/Vocals are already creating a stir amongst the Dublin press: “heartfelt and passionate” live performances, and “some seriously infectious songs” – (Connected Magazine). Romanovs Goodbye's aim is to create music that is both somber and melodic aswell as aggressive and passionate. They steer clear of writing in conventional ways to create songs to get you thinking AND get you moving!

With radio shows, magazine exposure and a London tour they are quickly elevating up the music ladder. With a string of gigs booked and an E.P in progress, its full-steam ahead for the rising Dublin 5 piece.

Saturday 19th September @ Whelan's (upstairs). Admission €5. Disconnect 4's 'Modern Love' EP available from i-tunes now. Doors will be open from 19:30. Get there early yo!
