Possibly wanting to qualify for as heavy a genre of rock as possible, as evidenced by their “throwing up on the microphone” lead singer. Blackhole surprise in the musical department by sound a genre or two more mellow than their lead singer.
This allows for something a lot more harmonious and even pay tribute to more of a rock n’ Roll aspect of music as opposed to just straight forward metal. And it works wonders for their guitarists who do some very sterling and easy to access work.
They may not be interested, but if their vocalist was something more akin to the varied vocal likes of Mike Patton then they might have something very special indeed.
