The just-released music video for the Fever Ray's forthcoming single 'Seven' was directed by Johan Renck, who has previously created videos for both Fever Ray and The Knife as well as for Beyonce, Madonna, Bat for Lashes and many more. It is both instantly recognisable as a Fever Ray promo, all beautiful dimly-lit camera work and a profound sense of foreboding, and like nothing you've ever seen before. An elderly woman shuffles and murmurs as a wolf-faced shaman lurks in and livestock are herded – to what fate, we don't know.
'Seven' is released on October 5th, followed by Fever Ray – The Double Disc Edition on October 12th, which will contain the CD album plus 2 stunning cover versions the band have been performing live during their tour (Vashti Bunyan’s 'Been Here Before' and Nick Cave and Anita Lane’s 'Stranger Than Kindness') & a DVD featuring all the videos from the project so far and more exclusive never seen before footage.
Available on 12” and download, 'Seven' is the fourth single to be released from the critically acclaimed self-titled album and features remixes from the likes of Crookers, CSS, Marcel Dettmann, Martyn, Nic Chacona, Real Daniel and Seth Troxler.
