Drums of Death – Got Yr Thing

At the end of 2008 Glasgow’s Colin Bailey awoke from a voodoo curse to find his heart had been torn from his body by a Haitian warlord and replaced with a beating drum machine. He channelled his 808 fury into a debut EP that enabled him to burst out of Greco-Roman’s sonic wrestling ring amid a frenzy of hype and ravage the world of the mortals with his unique zombi swamp-rave for the next 12 months as DRUMS OF DEATH, touring with Hot Chip, Greco-Roman Soundsystem and Peaches. And a LOT of facepaint. With a trail of broken hearts, soundsystems and airport lounges behind him, DRUMS OF DEATH is on the rampage and he is unstoppable.

New single 'Got Yr Thing' crashlands next week and here, finally, is the dark, strobe-tastic video featuring a cameo from Greco's own Joe Goddard (Hot Chip.) The video, directed by London duo John Major's Daughters (previous videos include Lesser Panda and Black Lips), sees a sweaty club-full of victims taken over by the voodoo curse…

'Got Yr Thing' is taken from the forthcoming album of sex beat soul noise Generation Hexed, due on Greco-Roman in the darkest depths of winter, early 2010.
