Late Night Get Go

A pilot for a brand new music & comedy TV show is set to launch in Dublin at the end of the month (OCT 30). Encompassing the very best in new music, cutting edge comedy plus special guest interviews, “Late Night Get Go” promises a unique combination of music and comedy giving viewers at home the chance to see some of the hottest new acts in Ireland today – in a style that is fresh, energetic and original.

The pilot show will be filmed live on October 30th at the recently renovated Good Bits venue in Store Street, Dublin 1. Filmed over three floors, utilising three different stages, the audience will be encouraged to move over, under and around the venue at will whilst enjoying the sounds of exciting Irish acts like Bitches With Wolves and Cheap Freaks. A stylised band VT will tee up each act and give an insight into who they are and the music they play.

Upstairs (Stage 2) is the interview area where the special guests have a pint and a chat. Informal interviews between guests will cover topics they are passionate about, so expect some heated conversations, plus some impromptu performances.

If that's not enough, the live music will be inter-cut with specially filmed comedy sketches with the emphasis on sharp, observational comedians. Under the guidance of PJ Gallagher, rising Irish stars of comedy like The Giddy Girls and Gearoid Farrelly have created a series of specially devised characters which will offer a good balance between the music and chat.

Late Night Get Go is all about variety, to give viewers at home the chance to see some of the more exciting new acts in Ireland today. Produced by Scratch Films, creators of the award winning Naked Camera and the critically acclaimed Fancy Vittles, the pilot will be filmed live in Dublin on October 30th at The Good Bits venue in Store Street, to be shown on RTE 2 @ 11:30pm.
