Nancy Elizabeth has announced that she will perform new album Wrought Iron from start to finish at St. Margaret's Church in Manchester on 12 December, accompanied by a band and choir. The band will include Paddy Steer (Homelife), who recently remixed single 'Feet Of Courage', on drums. We are reliably informed that there will be mince pies available for this jolly occasion.
Support at this show will be provided by Manchester's Table and Hannah Peel, who has just finished a tour supporting The Unthanks.
Nancy begins her tour with labelmates Efterklang next Thursday 29 October before taking a band to Italy for a string of dates. Meanwhile Cate Le Bon has been added as support for Nancy's headline show at The Borderline in London on 21 November.
On Wrought Iron:
“Beautifully, brilliantly bare… a lesson in how economy and atmospherics create true emotion… You'll find it hard to drag yourself away”
**** Mojo
“Brilliant, brilliant record”
The Word
“This is a sincere and genuine album of songs devoid of contrivance. An artist who should be seen as a beacon for future folkies”
