3OH!3 feat. Katy Perry 'Starstrukk'

SINGLE – STARSTRUKK (Featuring Katy Perry) – DECEMBER 14
ALBUM – WANT – DECEMBER 28

UK TOUR – NOVEMBER

3OH!3 (AKA Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte) are set to release ‘Starstrukk’ on December 14 through Photo Finish / Asylum Records – the track has already sold a jaw-dropping 600 000 copies in the US, and is yet to go to radio. It’s the second single to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘Want’ which is released on December 28. Having sold out their very first UK headline show at London’s Islington Academy on September 3, the band have announced a tour of the UK which kicks off in Cardiff on November 2 and includes a date at London’s Electric Ballroom on November 4, due to high demand the Glasgow, Cardiff and Manchester venues have been upgraded.

‘Starstrukk’ (a remix of the original album version) features a guest appearance from their friend Katy Perry who invited the band to be support on her UK and European tour dates earlier this year. The track follows the release of ‘Don’t Trust Me’ – a number 1 airplay record in the US which has so far sold over 2.2 million copies. Here the track broke into the top 10 on the iTunes chart and remained in the top 40 for six weeks. Currently at 50 000 sales and counting in the UK ‘Don't Trust Me’ won praise from myriad supporters. The Guardian declared “3OH!3 strike pop gold”, whilst the NME said “They’re frisky pups begging to be loved and we’re along for the ride. It’s a fun ride…”. NME also included the band in their recent ‘Future 50’ – NME’s Definitive List of Innovators & Innovations Pushing Music Forward’.

You don’t get more gangsta than Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte – two natives of Boulder, Colorado who have been packing clubs and liberating libidos with their trademark blend of dirty synths and even dirtier come-ons. On ‘Want’ these homeboys crumble their crackers into a saucy stew of hip-hop hardness, electro eroticism and 80s pop pabulum. Their infectious electro beats have so far seen them shift over 3.4 million tracks, clock up over 200 MILLION myspace plays, and they’re fast approaching over half a million album sales in the US. They’ve also picked up a nomination for Best New Artist at 2009’s prestigious MTV VMA Awards.

The duo have recently wrapped up a headline slot on the mammoth Vans Warped Tour in the US and wowed UK crowds at Reading and Leeds festivals – whipping the masses into a gang-sign-throwing, finger-licking frenzy. Be sure to see what all the fuss is about when they hit UK shores in November.
