Following from the huge success of Warp20 (Recreated), Warp20 (Chosen) and the premium edition Warp20 (Box Set),
the final music release of Warp Record’s twentieth year comes on 9th November.
Warp20 (Unheard) is an eleven-track collection of secret treasures rediscovered from the Warp vaults, dating from right across the label’s twenty year history.
The unheard and rare pieces include Boards of Canada’s near-mythical ‘Seven Forty Seven’ (the first music Mike and Marcus have let out since Trans Canada Highway in May 2006), pre-Incunabula era Autechre, Broadcast (a Nico cover ‘Sixty Forty’ performed for a John Peel session) and Nightmares on Wax (DJ E.A.S.E. and Boy Wonder productions from the time of Dextrous) to name just a few.
These songs have only previously released on 10” vinyl as part of the £100 premium-edition Warp20 (Box Set) in September, and have been the subject of much discussion and excitement since first announced. While we wanted people with the Box Set to be the first to own this music, this highly anticipated CD & Digital release has been put together at the request of fans looking for an alternative.
