Bandito Release Debut Single

Hard2Beat Records – home to monster artists Basshunter and Sash – are proud to introduce BANDITO, an exciting new act for 2009 and beyond! Bringing a whole heap of beats, cheekiness and fun, Bandito is ready to take over the dancefloor with debut single Rockin’ At The Disco, out December 7.

For the last six months Bandito has been touring the UK, performing alongside the likes of Basshunter, Cascada & N-Dubz. He also performed on the huge Dance Nation Arena Tour and has already won an impressive fan following. Now ready to take it to the next level, Bandito has shot his first music video and recorded his debut album. “This last six months have been the craziest of my life,” he laughs. “The whole experience has been amazing. The more I do the more I want, it’s like a drug. I just want more.”

Bandito frontman Russell Graham, 23, from Glasgow, accidentally discovered his vocal talents in a bid to impress the opposite sex. “When I was 14 my best friend brought this guitar to school and started singing,” he explains. “He became the most popular guy at school by far and I was like, you know what, I’m gonna have a go at this!” His drive and passion was clear and he soon caught the performing bug. “Not long after I sang in a school show and I was hooked,” he says. “The buzz was unbelievable. I threw up about three times beforehand because I was so nervous, but it was worth it. Those moments on stage are your time and there is nothing that can describe that feeling.”

From there, Russell did what thousands of young singers dream of doing – Impressed X Factor mastermind Simon Cowell. Simon was won over by Russell’s voice, heartthrob looks and boy-next-door appeal and promptly signed him. After a short stint touring with McFly and Westlife, Simon let the band who he had placed Russell in go, and concentrated on launching X Factor. “It’s hard to pick yourself up after something like that,” admits Russell. “But you get a taste of the pie and once you have you just want more, so you have to put the work in and try again. I think as long as you never give up and you keep on trying, then you’ll get a chance.” Russell’s optimism and dedication paid off and his new path led him to Bandito. “It’s just so much fun to be involved in,” he says. “I can’t even call it a job because I love doing it.”

With an irresistible sound that fuses a dance beat with pop melodies, Bandito is on a mission to brighten the charts and charm the world in the process.
