White Rose Movement Return

White Rose Movement are set to return to the fore this Spring, with
news of a second album.

Having landed a publishing deal with Domino, the band are currently
putting finishing touches to their as yet untitled follow-up to feted
2006 debut ‘Kick’, scheduled for an early 2010 release.

Following on from the success of ‘Kick’, WRM have been keeping busy
over the past four years touring the world with NIN, Placebo, Bloc
Party, The Strokes, Gary Numan, Soulwax and The Kills. They have also
have been buried deep in recording, a process that was decisively
extreme as front man Finn explains: “We closed ourselves off, to
gestate and make something stronger and more concise… Something with
more heart”.

As work began they said farewell to Taxxi (keys) and embraced Poppy
into the fold, a distant relative of Finn’s, whose presence has
provided the final unifying link for the band, all brought together by
friendship or family connections.

After nearly driving two producers to mental illness and early
alopecia, the band finally clicked with Teutonic studio stoic Robert
Harder (of Whitey and Acoustic Lady Land production) and the band have
created an army of new tracks, which the band have been airing at a
handful of low key shows to both their loyal and new fans. These new
songs find the band effortlessly flipping between the lascivious
castrato of ‘Bones’ (conjuring ‘emotional rescue’ era Rolling Stones)
and the propulsive energy of ‘Cigarette Machine’, in which only WRM
could have the audacity to cross Neu and Generation X.
