Jay-Z to headline Wireless

Live Nation is pleased to announce that music megastar JAY-Z will make a triumphant return to the UK this summer to headline Wireless sponsored by Barclaycard, in London's Hyde Park on Sunday 4 July 2010.

This will be a chance to catch up with the UKs Mr Hudson, who featured on his smash hit single “Young Forever” and will also perform at Wireless the same day.

JAY-Z and Mr Hudson are the latest acts confirmed for Wireless. They join Friday night headliner P!NK, who will be supported by THE TING TINGS, GOSSIP and newly announced Australian rockers THE TEMPER TRAP. With more acts yet to be confirmed for the three-day event, taking place on 2, 3 and 4 July, Wireless looks set to be one of summer's hottest tickets.

Ahead of Wireless, JAY-Z will play Manchester's MEN Arena on Monday 7 June and the LG Arena in Birmingham on Wednesday 9 June. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday 19 February at 9am.

JAY-Z is nominated for two Brit Awards at this year's 30th Anniversary ceremony, taking place at Earls Court Arena on 16 February. The Empire State Of Mind hit-maker is nominated in the Best Male Solo Artist category and Best International Album for the critically acclaimed – THE BLUEPRINT 3, featuring the UK chart-topping “Run This Town” with Rihanna and Kanye West and the phenomenal smash hits, “Empire State Of Mind”, “D.O.A (Death Of Auto-Tune)” and “Young Forever” featuring 2009's Q Award winner for “Best Breakthrough Act” Mr Hudson.

All this comes hot on the heels of JAY-Z winning an MTV European Music Award for Best Urban Act, as well as notching up three Grammy awards at this years star-studded ceremony in LA.

Multi-Award winner, JAY-Z is the music-producing mastermind behind some of the biggest selling, most listened-to tracks of 2009. In America, THE BLUEPRINT 3 debuted at the top of the Billboard chart selling over 475,000 copies in the first week. With that grand entry, his 11th chart-topper, JAY-Z surpassed Elvis Presley as the solo act with the most # 1 albums in the history of Billboard.

Fresh from his US tour and these two newly announced UK shows in June, JAY-Z is sure to pull out all the stops to close the sixth consecutive Wireless Festival in spectacular style.
