The brand spanking new seaside festival Playaway just keeps getting
better! With a bucket already brimming full of top notch artists,
including the likes of synth pop's finest Calvin Harris, loveable
indie pop boys Scouting For Girls, the super cool Noisettes, Punk Funk
darlings Futureheads and more, those salty sea dogs at Playaway have
another amazing addition up their sandy sleeve and are proud to
welcome the incomparable These New Puritans to their bill.
A band that has got everyone talking, South End art rockers TNPS are a
definite force to be reckoned with. Their fresh and forward thinking
sound and disparate influences have marked them out as clear ones to
watch and with two critically acclaimed albums under their genre
fusing belts the sky is the limit for this quartette! Expect highly
original, dark, haunting and angular jitter-punk with a malaise of
weightless choral harmonies, eerie woodwind and twinkling pianos. Not
to be missed!
Playaway which is the first fantastic festival of the season, will
take place 16, 17, 18, April at the legendary British holiday camp
Butlins, on the bright and breezy beaches of Skegness. Think
sandcastles and seaweed, fish and chips and candy floss and youre half
way there. With no tents, no mud, accommodation in top class indoor
apartments and one of the best line-ups around, Playaway is a festival
and holiday one-stop-shop like no other!
Not impressed with that little lot then why not try your hand at the
dangerous Underground Rebel Bingo club, dust off those old LPs and
listen to sad music that will make you happy at the uber cool
Feeling Gloomy, try your hand at some “speed hating” at Down with
Dating, or dance the night away at Smash and Grab and Swaparama
Ratmatazz which will all be on hand to tickle your fancy as well as
some amazing on site extras including spas, Go Karting, Quasar and
even a cinema!
