Marina and the Diamonds follows up her hugely successful single 'Hollywood' with her debut album 'The Family Jewels' next week.
Produced by Liam Howe (Ex-Sneaker Pimps), Biff Stannard (Kylie) and Pascal Gabriel (Ladyhawke), 'The Family Jewels' is unlike any other recent debut. Marina is a true original who has poured her heart and soul into the writing of this gem. The album is part autobiography/part fairytale with the sound ranging from the uber-shiny pop of 'Shampain' to the fragile elegance of 'Obsessions' and 'Numb', the pop-punk of 'Girls' and the joyful quirkiness of 'Mowgli 19;s Road' and 'Hermit the Frog'.
Currently on a tour of the UK, completing it on Tuesday next week with a sold out intimate show at Bush Hall, London, Marina has announced a longer UK tour in May after returning from the US. She plays two sold out nights at Bloomsbury Ballroom on the 19th/20th May.
