Initial Line Up For Nozstock Festival Announced

Deep within the rolling Herefordshire countryside there lays a secret waiting to be discovered…

The Blockheads, Caspa, Sub Focus, High Contrast and many more confirmed for Nozstock Festival 2010…

Nozstock invites you on a kaleidoscopic journey of discovery embracing everything wonderful about English eccentricity and eclecticism whilst encapsulating the true spirit of fun and adventure. Initially started as a ‘barbeque on the lawn’, the last few years have seen this festival blossom into an eight-stage three-day extravaganza with a world-class array of bands, DJs, comedians and performance artists. Nominated in five categories at last years UK Festival Awards, 2010 is set to be the year that this burgeoning festival comes of age.

With the recently released Ian Dury biopic ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’ receiving rave reviews, British new-wave legends The Blockheads are enjoying somewhat of a renaissance as a whole new generation tune into their music. Their live shows are the stuff of legend and with classics such as ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick’ and ‘What A Waste’ at their disposal – plus some very special guests – this is a rare opportunity to see one of the UK’s most iconic bands.

Not ones to rest on their laurels Nozstock has grabbed itself a global dub-step superstar for The Cubicles Dance Arena. Lauded by the Guardian as ‘The Guy Ritchie’ of dub-step, Caspa has been the driving force behind the genre, releasing the first commercial dub-step compilation on Fabric Records as well as setting up and running three successful labels. Joining him in this raucous ‘club within a field’ is the hugely talented drum & bass supremo Sub Focus. Having enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame with no less than three UK Dance Chart No.1s, 2010 will be his biggest year yet as he heads out with Pendulum on their stadium tour. In addition there are performances from High Contrast, local heroes the Anomalies, Koncept, Sicknote, Dex, Octo Pi, Karma Junkie and many more soon to be announced. Watch this space…

From the pear tree lined orchard to the converted barns, secret areas, coppice and glistening lake guest promoters weave a rich musical tapestry of punk, dubstep, drum and bass, psy-trance, ska, acoustic, classical, folk and blues. However it’s not just the creative vision, performance art, and visual splendour that sets Nozstock apart, there is a real underlying sense of community with locally produced food, farmers market and craft workshops. With early bird tickets costing a mere £65 Nozstock offers unparalleled value for money and an opportunity to become part of the family. Its your festival not ours…
