Ben Dalby Video

Ben Dalby releases his new single Doctor Can.

Produced by legendary producer Mark Wallis (Travis / The Smiths / U2), the alternative pop rock singer/songwriter once again offers a unique musical style following on from his previous singles ‘The Credit Crunch Song’ and ‘Chinese Friends’.

With comparisons to Nick Drake, Gary Numan and Lou Reed ringing around his ears it’s easy to see why Ben is tipped to be one the of must-see artists in 2010. He is just about old enough to remember people singing ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ at his junior school. Pink Floyd were a major influence, along with other iconic artists such as Prince, Talking Heads and Jeff Beck and it’s easy to see their influence on his satirical but radio-friendly songs.

Ben’s aim is to write songs that make people want to turn up the radio.

Writing and recording music for 20 years, his real love is programming traffic control systems. Due to the economic downturn this must remain a part-time hobby whilst he brings home the bacon as a recording artist.

Ben’s songs can be gentle, humourous or fiery. His lyrics are thought-provoking and original in perspective and his recently launched YouTube channel has resulted in over 95,000 views. His last single ‘The Credit Crunch Song’ was played by various BBC regional and commercial radio stations including the Metro Radio Breakfast Show.
