Cymbals Eat Guitars Added To The End Of The Road Bill

Cymbals Eat Guitars will be joining Iron & Wine and The New Pornographers who will be making their debut at End of the Road on 10 – 12 September 2010. It will be The New Pornographers and Iron And Wine's first visit to the festival.

New additions to the bill also include California's weirdest garage rock outfit The Fresh & Onlys and folk-meets-twenties-Parisian-café-songs from Bella Union's Emily Loizeau.

The full A-Z list of today's additions is as follows:

A headliner for End of the Road 2010 – Wilco – is already in place and other confirmed artists include The Mountain Goats, Black Mountain, The Low Anthem and Felice Brothers.

In other news, for the first time the festival will open to the public on the Thursday rather than the Friday morning. From 2pm on Thursday 9th September, a limited part of the site will be open so early arrivers can pitch tents and get into the spirit of things. A few small bands will appear on the tipi stage, the cinema will be running and there will be food and drink available.

Finally, on 1 June 2010, the End of the Road presents THE UNTHANKS live at the Union Chapel in Islington. The Mercury-nominated quintet is playing in support of their new longplayer Here's the Tender Coming, recently described by the Guardian as “haunting, original and magnificent” and by Paul Morley as “a real work of art”.
