The Kings of Leon are one of the greatest bands on the planet. Formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999 the band consist of brothers Caleb, Nathan, Jared and cousin Matthew Followill. They headlined a number of festivals in 2009 including Reading, Leeds, Oxegen and T In The Park and also in the same year won their first Grammy Award for the single 'Sex on Fire', as well as two BRIT Awards for 'Best International Group' and 'Best International Album’.
The Kings ov Leon have quickly established themselves as the number one UK tribute delivering an awesome set including ‘Use Somebody’, ‘Closer’, ‘Revelry’, ‘Bucket’ and the sublime ‘Sex on Fire’.
The band has all the class and charisma of the Kings of Leon and is taking the UK by storm selling out venues nationwide.
Guitarist Mark Eyden and lead vocalist Dean Lanza enjoyed great success in 1999 when their band Marlo won “Get Your Act Together” a TV show presented by Ronan Keating on BBC1 and were promptly signed by major record label Polydor. The band went on to tour extensively including a performance in front of 50,000 fans at Party in the Park and also had a charting single release.
Dean and Mark have been close friends since studying Performing Arts at Newcastle College and have worked with Gus Dudgeon and Stuart Epps who have produced David Bowie, Bill Wyman and Elton John.
The boys decided to create a Kings of Leon show in early 2009 and within a few months played in front of a 1,600 sell out crowd at Victoria Hall in Stoke and have never looked back…
