Breed 77 - Zombie
Album Review

Breed 77 – Zombie

A Barbary rocking take on the hanging, yet up-and-at-‘em Cranberries classic ‘Zombie’. It sees Gibralta’s Breed 77 putting their four albums worth of experience into re-hashing, quirking up and tossing moods around in this well chosen cover.

Paul Isola gives his vocals gnarly paranoia in order to harness the rugged guitar grind of the talismanic Danny Felice.

The robustness of the chorus is made more striking by a melting acoustic intro, showing that Breed 77 can be a band of contrast. Their cult following amongst alt.rockers will rise like a Zombie out of the ground upon listening to this varied act of reverence to the Cranberries.
