of Montreal performed ‘Banana, Rice, Apple Sauce, Toast’ for Nickelodeon
kids show ‘Yo Gabba Gabba’.

Not content with their recent live pig spanking incident with Susan
Sarandon, the world of pop psychedelic troupe of Montreal took that
next step into the surreal this week

The Athens, GA band took part in US kids show ‘Yo Gabba Gabba’ this
week, and performed an original composition entitled ‘Banana, Rice,
Apple Sauce, Toast’

The show aired on Nickelodeon yesterday (10th March), watch the band’s

The song appears to be giving advice to help ill children get better,
but as Stereogum also points out, it may also double up as a handy
hangover cure for adults.

In other of Montreal news, ‘Heimdalsgate Like A Promethean Curse’ has
become available on the newly launched Rock Band Network and there
should be more details about their next album ‘False Priest’ imminently.
