Foals – This Orient

Foals are set to release Total Life Forever, the follow-up to their debut full-length album Antidotes, on May 10, 2010 via Transgressive Records. The official video to lead single 'This Orient', slated for a May 3 release, was posted to the internet yesterday. Featuring copious amounts of scenic nature shots and band-close-ups, it was directed by Dave Ma.

The track presents a far more playful and pop-esque vibe than the post-rock expanses of 'Spanish Sahara', another taster track from the album released a few weeks ago accompanied a video also directed by Ma. It does much more to explain the “tropical prog” tag used by the band to describe the sound of the new album. With hints at such diversity in Foals' sound, the new album should be something to look forward to.
