Let's Go To War Album Track By Track

When you’ve produced for the likes of Britney Spears, you’re already on your way to cementing your place in the higher echelons of the music world, but Canada’s Let’s Go To War aren’t stopping there. Having emerged from a love of guitars, beats, skateboarding and everything in-between, their debut album ‘Karmageddon’, dropping on March 29th, is testament to how far their imagination goes.

Having already become a staple in Toronto’s club scene with main man Peter-John [PJ] strutting his stuff over DJ Cirkut’s beats, Let’s Go To War are on their way across the Atlantic with tales of maniacal house parties, drug abuse, relationship woes and even the perils of internet stardom [in the brilliantly titled ‘Internet Pornstar’ and are set to take the world’s ears and attention spans by storm.

The relentless vibes of the album, described by LGTW as “digital confusion”, leave genres and hipsters in the dust, maintaining the need to have fun and remaining unconcerned with pigeonholes as they swing from unashamedly pop vocals in ‘Wolves’ and ‘Pennychaser’ to straight up dirty club bangers such as ‘Life We Leave’ and ‘Internet Pornstar’.

It’s this attitude which has seen LGTW gain a reputation as a burgeoning force to be reckoned with and the Canadian juggernaut is on its way and gunning straight for your speakers. Get the sub-woofer plugged in, clear the floor and turn the volume loud as hell – ‘Karmageddon’ is about to take over your room.

Signing to a label that has brought the world the likes of Crystal Castles, MSTRKRFT, Metric and Death From Above 1979 and currently sharing the Last Gang Records roster with such luminaries as Chromeo, Boys Noize and Tiga just goes to show how highly-thought of LGTW are and with good reason; Electro, hip hop and reggae might not sound like the perfect bedfellows but when combined on ‘Karmageddon’, the result is so potent that it would be impossible not to get up and dance.
