Noise Control are due to release their new single ‘Take It’ on April 7th. The single is an electic mix of rock and electronica, which features grammy-award winning singer Shahin Badars.
The song fuses ambience with electro rock in the most enticing way. Badars’ vocals are chilling and powerful against the angry guitar and drum. She famously appeared on The Prodigy’s ‘Smack My Bitch Up’.
At first the song sounds a bit too meshed and slightly odd-sounding, but as it gets into a cruscendo it all comes together and oddly, it works. By blending different sounds and voices together, the song creates a vivid harmony, which is still resonating in my head as we speak.
Dan Hegarty of 2fm fame has said he is “addicted” to ‘Take It’, calling it a “a great tune”.
The band have been hard at work finishing off their album ‘Our Life’, due to be released this summer. Noise Control have been noted as one of the most incredible new Irish performers supporting the likes of The Prodigy, Hot Chip and Basement Jaxx.
With a slot at Glastonbury already confirmed, the guys are bringing something new and different with their sound to a festival or gig near you soon!
