Fun In The Sun

All I seem to have done for the past few weeks is wish my life away to the summer, festivals and sunny weather. Now the sunny weather seems to be creeping through I find myself sat at my desk wishing I was in the mountains and playing in the snow! Not just random wishing, it has been brought on by getting reports from Snowbombing back and it just looks so much fun!

Although I’m not there surely this means festival season is well and truly underway and as the weeks go on there will be more long weekends to be had in random fields and parks you would never have even considering visiting before they threw a stage up in the middle of it.

Is it wrong I’m already planning my outfits now? I always insist on taking far too much stuff with me when I go to festivals too. I think it’s a girl thing. We can’t help it; it’s in our DNA make up or something!

Anyway, festivals aren’t just about camping in the middle of nowhere anymore, there’s loads of city centre festivals following in the footsteps of The Camden Crawl, Liverpool Soundcity and Dot to Dot. I love these types of shin digs even more than proper full on festivals sometimes, especially as it usually means I have somewhere proper to sleep and a nice hot shower each morning.

Right, enough of my inane ramblings, I promise I’ll write an editorial that is not about me longing for the summer next week…. well, I’ll try.

On the site this week we have, interviews with High Frequency Bandwidth and Twisted Wheel, the “interesting” new video from Grum, a competition to win a pair of tickets to BBC Radio 1’s 500th Essential Mix at Circus and The Devil Sold His Soul, The Paddingtons and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster on tour.
