God Speed You! Black Emperor To Curate ATP's Nightmare Before Christmas

To conclude the year long celebrations of 10 Years of ATP, they are thrilled to be able to announce GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR as curators of Weekend 1 Nightmare Before Christmas festival on 3rd – 5th December.

ATP Founder Barry Hogan: “Godspeed performed at the Bowlie Weekender as well as at some our early ATP festivals, and so we are very proud to have one of our favourite bands back after a long break to conclude our 10th anniversary.”

The festival weekend will run from the 3rd-5th December at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead featuring around 40 bands picked by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who will also perform.

The first set of line-up additions are:
GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR
BARDO POND
THE EX
DEERHOOF
TIM HECKER
MIKE WATT (Minutemen, fIREHOSE, Stooges)
SCOUT NIBLETT

Godspeed You! Black Emperor will perform on all three nights in the Centre Stage venue. As this venue does not hold the entire festival capacity, ticketholders will choose one night for which they will receive a guaranteed entry wristband. Once wristbanded people have entered the venue each night, others will be allowed in on a first come first served basis allowing some people to see multiple shows.

Tickets for Nightmare Before Christmas curated by Godspeed You! Black Emperor are priced at £165.00pp for room only and £175.00pp for self catering and go on sale this Friday 9th April at 9am.

This will be the first of two festival weekends from ATP this December. It was recently announced that for the second weekend on Dec 10th-12th they are bringing back the event that started it all.

In 1999 Belle & Sebastian curated The Bowlie Weekender, the event that became All Tomorrow's Parties, and this December they will return to headline and curate Bowlie 2 which is on sale now.

They will also be repeating the In Between Days event, which runs at Butlins between the two weekend festivals…

This year In Between Days is curated by *AMOS*.

Amos was set up in 2002 by James Jarvis, Sofia Prantera and Russell Waterman. James had previously designed toys for fashion brand Silas, beginning with the now legendary Martin figure, released back in 1998. Along with Bounty Hunter in Japan, Silas unwittingly became one of the pioneers of the soft vinyl designer toy revolution.

During the event the small Crazy Horse venue will be open and there will be entertainment including bands and djs.

So far AMOS have picked:
CARIBOU
WOODEN SHJIPS
MOON DUO

With far more bands, DJs and other activities to be announced.
