Lostprophets Return To Ireland

Welsh pop/punk rockers Lostprophets have announced a gig in Dublin's Academy on Tuesday, May 18th. The band haven't played in Ireland in nearly six years, after a sold-out show in the Ambassador in 2004.

The gig will showcase their fourth studio album 'The Betrayed'. The gig is an all-ages show but under 15's must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.

The sextet's new album is a successor to their No.1 'Liberation Transmission'. Though the band's frontman Ian Watkins says “This is the best album we've made, by a mile!”. The band are one hundred percent proud and behind their latest album, stating it's how Lostprophets “should sound”. The release came at a price though, after two years of stagnation and two failed producers, bass player Stuart Richardson stepped in to become producer and thus, the album came to be.

Tickets are around €25 from Ticketmaster and went on sale at 9am this morning, get 'em while they're hot!
