Nero - Innocence/Electron
Album Review

Nero – Innocence/Electron

A slightly orbital and relaxing ambient build gives off an initially floating Zero 7 meets X-press2 vibe.

Before ‘Innocence’ veers off into a digitally intoned epic, retaining the initial vocal smoothness. It creates a down-tempo dance track with variety and bit of spice. The latter element is provided mainly by courtesy of singer, Alana. Finishing of a five minute epic of varied searching and slow groove friendly saunter.

‘Electron’, has a spacey edge, before the track is tranced and peppered with some lofty, yet sparse Diva vocals. More energy and gusto makes for a gyration inducing stomp. They certainly don’t limit themselves purely to laid back coffee sipping ambience here. It looks like a productive summer is in store for NERO, as a collaboration with Sub Focus and a debut album looms provocatively on the horizon.
