Fortune – Bully

There’s nothing particularly fresh or unique about the title track of this new EP from indie electro types Fortune, but I love it anyway.

It’s a bouncy little jaunt, replete with an energising bass groove and punchy shout-sung vocals, punctuated with snappy guitar and synth; definitely one to soundtrack a sweaty night in some Hoxton indie disco dive.

‘Mission’ is more of the same, sharing the first track’s angular, kinetic vibe and its hooky qualities. I’d have rather seen more original tracks here but the numerous remixes of ‘Bully’ that complete the EP do some interesting things with the track and are well worth a listen, with the Snack and C’mish interpretation being a personal favourite.
