Ingrid Michaelson Offers Fans The Chance To Perform With Her
US indie sensation (and writer of Cheryl Cole's 'Parachute') Ingrid Michaelson has announced a YouTube video contest specially for the UK. Fans are being asked to record their own version of their single 'The Way I Am' and record a video to accompany it – and the winner will get to perform their version on stage with Ingrid at one of her forthcoming UK tour dates.
A similar competition in the US received thousands of entries, and received over 1 million views on YouTube between them.

The single 'The Way I Am' will be released in the UK on 17 May – the track has already been certified Platinum (over a million sales) in the US, racked up 5.6 million YouTube views and been performed by American Idol contestants. The single will be followed by a limited edition double-album set of 'Girls and Boys' and 'Everybody', which will include her version of 'Parachute', the hit single she wrote for Cheryl Cole.
