Musee Mecanique – Sleeping In Our Clothes

A dreamy, slightly orchestral instrumental hover clears the path for the lamenting yearning, as Portland’s Musee Mecanique push out a jangly ode for their second UK single.

A Four Tet exchanging pleasantries with Mum feel takes over, then the melancholy starts to slip away under a mid-tempo howling horn and creaky Casio keyboard. Earnest yet uplifting and explorative folk/pop shows up a foraging band that seemingly has a lot to unveil.
