Etienne De Crecy and Casiokids Added To Standon Calling Line Up

Award-winning, independent festival Standon Calling is excited to announce a new wave of acts for 2010’s event.

The legendary French DJ, ETIENNE DE CRECY, is bringing his extraordinary audiovisual spectacular Beats ‘n’ Cubes to the main stage with a new live show, with Norwegian electro-pop troupe CASIOKIDS joining the Twisted Licks stage and THE MAGIC NUMBERS headlining the Crooked House stage. Critically acclaimed Spanish musician, EL GUINCHO, FOOL’S GOLD, SILVER COLUMNS, WILD PALMS, DRY THE RIVER and JAMES DELAY are also joining the bill, with lots more artists and installations still to be announced.

The latest raft of acts join legendary, Grammy-winning Cuban music ensemble ORQUESTA BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, the live tour-de-force LIARS, Danish collective EFTERKLANG, Southend art-rockers THESE NEW PURITANS, and many, many more.

As the sun sets on Standon Calling, and the live music draws to a close, a series of late-night parties will swing into action, and to ensure this year is as raucous as ever, Standon Calling has called on two legendary London party-starters, GRECO-ROMAN SOUNDSYSTEM, and Fabric residents FILTHY DUKES who will be presenting a KILL EM ALL stage, bringing their distinctive club night sounds to the festival.

The backdrop for Standon Calling, which started as a pool-side BBQ10 years ago, is a beautiful 16th century manor house and the glorious rolling countryside of Standon, Hertfordshire, which is only 35 minutes from London. The three-day party features a swimming pool with underwater disco, an on-site nightclub, bars open all-night long, themed fancy dress, a host of late night surprises, secret stages and critically acclaimed market-style street food stalls. This year’s theme is ‘Murder on the Standon Express’ so expect murder, mystery and mayhem.
