The New Loud – Secrets

The New Loud pays homage to old-school, 8-bit era video games with their latest music video, 'Secrets'.

Opening with a couple arguing, director Jack Packard sets the boy character on a quest from reality to a video game world where he is determined to win back his love by replacing his slacker outfit with clothes of a career driven adult.

Live band footage was shot at the Historic Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI, a thriving music venue which has hosted acts such as Passion Pit, OK Go and The Magnetic Fields. With explosively coloured outfits and backdrops, the camera weaves and peeks around to show The New Loud playing in an impossibly vibrant practice space area.

Director Jack Packard works as a writer/producer/content supervisor for the Will Ferrell, Adam McKay website 'Funny or Die'. He gained notoriety with his series of 'High-Five!' videos posted to the site.

The New Loud is a new wave/electro/punk band from the working-class midwest US city Milwaukee, WI. 'Secrets' is the first single from the band's upcoming LP, 'Measures Melt' (UK release 8th June 2010), Produced/Recorded by band member Shane Olivo and Mixed by Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Rilo Kiley, Drive Like Jehu).

'Secrets' is currently available as a single through iTunes and Amazon or directly through The New Loud's Bandcamp site, where all their music is set up as pick-your-price downloads similar to the release of 'In Rainbows' by Radiohead. Also to celebrate the launch of the video and the new album, the band are offering the highly acclaimed EP ‘Can’t Stop Not Knowing’ for free download via this link: link
