Envy Of The State – Take Over The Radio
After a whirlwind 2009 that saw them whisked off to the USA to sign a record deal, perform at the world famous CMJ Festival in New York and play over 80 live dates, UK alternative rockers Envy Of The State are set to release their highly anticipated debut album ‘Soundtrack For Your Life’ through Red Label Records on Monday June 7th!
Recorded, produced and mixed by the renowned Russ Russell (The Wildhearts, Napalm Death, SiKth) ‘Soundtrack For Your Life’ is the perfect introduction to a band that possess a talented knack for wiring massive rock sounds with powerfully infectious guitar hooks and instantly memorable vocals to create fist-pumping and life affirming slab’s of modern alternative rock. The anthemic quality that Envy Of The State display throughout the 10 tracks that make up their debut album brings to mind the sounds of such rock luminaries as Lostprophets, Bullet For My Valentine and Velvet Revolver but adding to that a diversity and dynamic all of their own.
With a brand of music that can be appreciated by such a wide range of people, Envy Of The State are clearly a band capable of becoming future stars of the UK alternative music scene.
