Lamb Of God Announce Ultimate Anthology

15 years ago, Lamb of God began their ascent to the forefront of modern heavy metal. A self-described “pure American metal” quintet from Richmond, VA, they've paid their dues and withstood the knocks. Beloved by a rabid fanbase , their uncommon work ethic, uncompromising musicianship and intellectual lyrics have seen the band sell over 1.5 million albums world-wide.

Lamb Of God's Grammy-nominations include Best Metal Performance in 2006 and 2009 and last year they supported Metallica on their world tour – including 5 UK dates in Feb 2010.

Lamb of God now proudly release Hourglass – The Ultimate Anthology on 3 CDs . This includes 44 tracks comprising of singles, rarities and 18 unreleased gems and will be available on May 31st.
Volume 1: The Underground Years
Thirteen songs culled from Lamb of God’s first three albums: their self-titled 1998 debut, when they were known as Burn The Priest; their debut as Lamb of God, the acclaimed New American Gospel (2000) and 2003’s As The Palaces Burn, the album that launched them to the stratosphere and helped them secure their deal with Epic. Includes Ruin and Black Label, live set staples to this day, with the former being their ever-present show closer

Volume 2: The Epic Years
Thirteen choice cuts from their first five years and three albums with Sony. Includes both their Grammy- nominated songs Redneck and Set To Fail plus fan favorite anthems and crushing riffs. Each album from this period was bigger than the one before, from Ashes Of The Wake to Sacrament to 2009's US #2 debut Wrath (which is actually a Roadrunner album in the UK)

Volume 3: The Vault
Eighteen rare or never-before-heard Lamb of God gems. Included here are every Japanese-issue bonus track, multiple rehearsal demos, four ultra-rare songs originally self-released only on tape, and 4 originally self-released limited edition 7″ vinyl singles.
