I knew we were due a heatwave; dance music duo Fatboy Slim and Hervé blow open the doors to summer 2010 with this spanking, acid workout.
Through the dry ice, strobes and smiling faces this is late ‘80’s dance music stripped back and revised; mixing modern dance music methodology whilst giving a nod to the sounds of Shoom; the late 80’s rave culture and the White Isle party vibe. Cutting edge, retro at is most exploratory.
June 14th sees the fruits of this much-anticipated collaboration between two of the dance worlds biggest talents, with a formidable remix package lined up for release on July 16th.
Released in two parts and across the World Cup months of June and July; the first in June and enclosed here, features both the original version and exclusive remix by Hervé under his Action Man guise. Just as tough; just as fantastic.
The follow up single, promoing soon, is one seriously heavyweight remix package featuring mixes by Joris Voorn, Modeselektor, Reset and Ado. Festival, carnival, front room, backroom “Machines Can Do The Work” has it covered.
With a jam-packed summer festival season approaching, culminating with the SW4 festival in London on 28th August there will be no escaping the Fatboy Slim experience or this rave-tastic single this summer.
