Erland & The Carnival and Goldheart Assembly Added To Brick Lane Takeover

Macmillan Cancer Support will once again take over Brick Lane in East London on Thursday 17 June when the second run of its new music event – Macmillan's Brick Lane Takeover – will welcome 2000 music enthusiasts from 5.30pm through to the early hours. The latest additions to the line-up include Erland and the Carnival and their electric and psychedelic sounds, the charming Goldheart Assembly, Geordie foursome Little Comets, Treetop Flyers performing their four-part vocal harmonies, eccentric Clock Opera, Aussie indie rock group 26, and The Attika State and their summery prog-pop-rock.

Building on last year's phenomenal response in the press we are proud to announce that XFM is supporting the Brick Lane Takeover and John Kennedy, described as “oracle of the hotly-tipped, the seer of the next big thing”, will be curating.

The all-dayer kicks off at 5.30pm and offers 7 hours of exceptional music from an eclectic mix of some of the best indie, electro, folk and punk rock bands around. One wristband will give fans access to live music from a host of established acts, across East London's finest venues – 93 Feet East, Vibe Bar, Café 1001, The Brickhouse, Rough Trade, Spitalfields Market and Cargo.

Tickets are available NOW from link priced at £20 with all proceeds going to help Macmillan continue to provide vital services which help make a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

Other acts confirmed so far include Eliza Doolittle, tipped as one of the finest news acts around this summer, Kill It Kid with their striking blend of delta blues and roots and experimental trio from London, Three Trapped Tigers. There will also be funk/rock/Russian/pop and ska fusion from Cosmo Jarvis as well as great music from Beatbullyz, The Paris Riots', Tim and Sam's Tim and the Sams band, Allo Darlin', Hoodlums, Shackletons, Robinson, Sam Little, Steve Smyth, Jess Roberts, Dead Town Radio and Liz and the Ligers.
