I Blame Coco - Self Machine
Album Review

I Blame Coco – Self Machine

The first thing you immediately are drawn to by ‘I Blame Coco’ is the dominating, masculine tones of lead vocalist, Coco Sumner’s voice. More commonly known to many as Sting’s daughter, but should quite clearly be recongnised for inheriting the musical family gene pool.

The latest track ‘Self Machine’‘ is catapulted into our airwaves after last track ‘Caesar’ surfaced earlier this year featuring solo artist Robyn. The new single is different to the last and sees I Blame Coco, taking a more electro pop/alternative route creating a more sparkly vibe to their musical creation, instead of the previous darker track. This electronic sound with pulsing synths and catchy chorus teamed with Coco’s distintively unique, smoky voice…. it definetely stands out.

With a variety of sounds already, the excitement of what is on debut album ‘The Constant’ is building… only time will tell.
