Back in October 2009, JOHNNY FOREIGNER released their awesome and amazing second album ‘Grace and the Bigger Picture’, it was noisy, romantic, loud and angry. They toured all over the place (UK, Europe, Japan, South Africa) and had a lot of nice things written about them.
Today, the band release a brand new, never before heard or released track, 'With who, who and what i've got' via their website link The track, which is available free, was recorded late February in Cape Town, South Africa, in conjunction with acclaimed South African producer / electronic artist Peach AKA yesterdays pupil.
Speaking of the track, guitarist and vocalist Alexei said: “For those of you who are into this sort of technical studio knowhow, we recorded all our parts in the wrong order onto a computer machine using wires, coloured them in pretty hues, then Peach put it next to a gameboy sound chip and did some suave magic transferrance till this
came out.”
Alexei, Kelly and Junior are also set to make available their next single proper this month – a 10″ vinyl and digital release featuring the track 'every cloakroom ever' taken from their second album 'grace and the bigger picture'.
The vinyl and download will come with three additional tracks. The trio sold the majority of vinyl copies on pre-order, offering fans the chance to have their name on the artwork, designed again by Lewes Herriot, responsible for all their imagery.
Johnny Foreigner will also play an intimate headline London show at 93 Feet East to celebrate the launch on 26th June. Following that, they will take part in the Wichita Recordings 10th Anniversary celebrations by playing a show at The Garage, London with Los Campesinos! and Frankie & The Heartstrings.
This autumn will see the band's first full US tour, plus new UK and European shows.
