Hotly tipped rockers YOUNG GUNS unleash the latest single from their debut album ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, in the form of ‘Crystal Clear’ on July 26th. The single follows the singles, ‘Winter Kiss’ and ‘Sons Of Apathy’, both of which received great support from the likes of Fearne Cotton, Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw and Daniel P Carter on Radio 1, as well as regular rotation across the leading music television channels.
The build up to the release of the album (out 12th July) has seen the band complete a sold-out UK headline tour, as well as appearances at the Slam Dunk and Download festivals, not to mention a support slot with Bon Jovi on the opening night of their o2 Arena London residency.
Add to this a forthcoming schedule that includes a slot opening the main stage at the Reading & Leeds festivals, and it’s plain to see why being a Young Gun is an enjoyable place to be. The release of ‘Crystal Clear’ perfectly encapsulates the feelings and aspirations, past and present of singer, Gustav Wood.
“Crystal Clear is about growing up and realising that things aren't delivered to you on a plate,” he explains. “But, that in the face of disappointment and disillusionment, holding your head up high is something in itself to be proud of. Against all odds, I've managed to end up being a part of something special that really matters to me, and it has shown me the value of direction and the importance of working towards something.”
It’s safe to say, that any killing time they may have been doing previous to ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, will be a distant memory for the band.
